Will Windows 8 have the same fate as Windows Vista ?

August 8, 2013

When Microsoft release Windows 8, the new interface changed for their new tablet, even the “Start button” taken away from the desktop screen.  This create trouble for normal user, I wonder how long can this version go on.

Finally, Microsoft have Windows 8.1 for testing now.  For more information about Windows 8.1, please refer to Microsoft website,  the ISO image is ready for download and trial out.

This version 8.1, the “Start button” is put back in Desktop screen.  I feel that Windows 8 might be like windows vista abandoned in future and the Windows 8.1 will be like the Windows 7 be the major use windows OS.

September 29, 2008
Want to get the an alternative MS Office which have the similar menu, toolbar and interface, so that you can get to use it quickly.

Here is one from KingSoft, KingSoft Office 2007 Personal Edition.

This Personal Edition is released as Free but at this moment you are unable to download from the kingsoft website yet.  I found that this english version was released in to be download in a vietnam website.

This is a compact Microsoft Office Compatible suite which have familiar layout for documents, Spreadsheets and Presentation, and this is not based on OpenOffice.  However this personal edition does not support for VBA in MS Office.

It support save as PDF and .wps format by their WPS Office 2007 (Chinese Version Only – only 27MB).

If you want to try, you can download from this link – here.
